We have known Daniel Bloch since approximately May 2008 when I first contacted him from South Africa to assist with finding either a rental or property to purchase in Toronto. From the moment we began communicating, Daniel proved himself to be an exceptionally willing, knowledgeable and competent realtor. Once settled in Toronto Daniel immediately got to work looking for a suitable home for us to purchase and spent countless hours driving both me and my partner around Toronto, explaining the various neighborhoods, the subtle nuances and learning what we were looking for. After a search of approximately 50 houses Daniel was instrumental in helping with the purchase of our first home in Cabbagetown and went as far as to recommend an excellent lawyer and other contractors that we needed to do some renovations on the house. 

 

Knowing that we both have a keen interest in property motivated Daniel to keep in touch with us, always sending interesting sales information in the neighborhood or links to houses for sale that we might like to see and when the time came to sell our home there was no hesitation in asking Daniel to be the agent on record. Our house went on to the market during a very difficult economic time and Daniel persevered through countless showings and never once refused to hold an open house. He made constructive suggestions to make the house attractive to potential buyers and provided feedback on an ongoing basis. During this time Daniel also started making efforts to source a new home, now fully understanding exactly what we were looking for. Again, Daniel took time to drive us around, send sales and other information and was easily able to identify homes that we would or would not be interested in. Our house sold for asking price with a firm offer and no conditions. Unfortunately approximately 6 weeks prior to closing, Daniel was notified by the purchaser that he was not going to close despite us having a firm agreement of purchase and sale. For the next 6 weeks, Daniel acted as the mediator and liaison between us, the defaulting purchaser and multiple attorneys through what was an incredibly stressful and tension-filled time. Daniel always acted professionally, with courtesy and always with our best interests at hand even while he was travelling out of the country. During this time we had purchased another property that Daniel had successfully negotiated and when we had to quickly re-sell our house Daniel acted fast and in no time was able to successfully negotiate another firm sale with no conditions for a similar selling price. We suffered a significant financial loss due to this occurrence and without Daniel’s action and marketing efforts would have found ourselves in a situation where we may have had to default on the house we had purchased.

 

Daniel continues to maintain contact, still sending us information and always keeping us up to date with what is going on in the property market. We look forward to a continued and successful relationship with Daniel in the future.

after seeing his ad in the local Jewish Report. Daniel was immediately
willing to begin looking for something for us to rent as we were
arriving in Toronto with 3 large dogs and finding a place to rent was
proving difficult for us. Despite it being 6 months before our landing,
Daniel made an effort to be in constant contact. Daniel walked us
